Ski free or cheap with your kids
Mountains want families at their resorts, they want to see the smiles and memories made. One of the biggest hurdles for families is cost, especially when new to the sport. Many states have come together to make it easier with free or cheap pass. Check out our list below! *Many DO NOT require state residency*

Kid programs:
- POWER PASS– The Power Kids pass offers unlimited ski access to Purgatory, Snowbowl, Sipapu, Pajarito, Nordic Valley, Brian Head, Willamette Pass, Lee Canyon and Sandia Peak. (free)
- SKI NY SKi & RIDE- 3rd, 4th, &5th graders get pass for 2 visits to each NY Mountain that participates (under $50 typically)
- Ski Utah– 4th-6th graders 15 mountains- 45 days! ($79)
- Copper Mountain- Free Kid pass (17yo & UNDER) with adult pass. Unlimited with no blackouts. ($899)
- SKI VT-5th Grade Pass ($40) with access to 20 mountains.
- Ski PA– Adventure Pass ($69) Check out which mountains participate for 4th & 5th graders
- Idaho 5th & 6th Graders Pass– 3 or 2 days at participating mountains. ($29)
- Maine & New Hampshire’s WinterKids– Passport app for family up to 5 ($40) and get free with adult ticket and/or discounted tickets and other winter activities through app.
- Michigan’s COLD IS COOL– 4th & 5th graders Check out different mountains for $50 pass
- NW Rockies Passport– 5th Graders, 3 days at each of the 4 mountains ($50)
Many passes also are children under 4 free, some go to 6. Check out the ages for resorts, specials with lodging and free with adult ticket deals. Having fun on the slopes doesn’t have to break the bank.
